This is from Sharrons website explaining how custom tattoos come to life. Both Adam and Sharron actively promote doing custom designs. So have a little read of this and get your thinking caps on and we look forward to creating something unique just for you.
How Custom tattoo designs work
So I did a tattoo for one of my lovely regulars Sarah Jane this week. I really enjoyed doing it and I thought it was a great way to show how a custom design is put together.
So Sarah asked me to design a piece for her rat rupert and sent me a load of photos over. Obviously this photo jumped out as the one I had to use as reference.
Yes he really does have a party hat on
So after a few rough drafts I come to the design I thought worked and decided to paint this one up. Now not all designs I draw for tattoos get to this stage as most will be my final line drawings. However, I took a fancy to this piece and decided to paint it up as I had a bit of time spare.
Then it was just a case of actually tattooing it, which is always the best bit.
So thats how you go about getting a custom piece, its all about getting the correct reference, working with the customer and getting a one off piece. If you would like to get a custom piece you need to contact the studio, then after we have discussed your design, collected your reference and taken a deposit and booked you in. We can get started on getting you a custom tattoo.
If you would like a tattoo from us, this is how you can get one.
We tattoo everything from names on the wrist, to full one off back pieces so please don’t be scared to ask us for certain things as we welcome most things. Although we do reserve the right to refuse to do tattoos which we think are offensive or are wrong for the customer.
It is very difficult to quote prices on any tattoo as size and placement matter so asking over the internet or phone is pretty much impossible so the best thing to do is to come into the studio as this will enable us to give you an accurate price. Tattoos start at £30 and we charge £70 per hour for larger session work. We also have set prices on half and full day sessions please ask on booking in.
If you would like us to draw you a one off custom design we are more than happy to do this for you just drop in the studio. If it is a larger piece or a cover up you can contact us via email email@example.com with brief details of what you are after and who you would like to be tattooed by. Then we can arrange getting you in for a consultation at the studio so we can discuss your tattoo in detail. If you are then happy with what has been discussed we will require a deposit for your first sitting as designing a tattoo takes time and we need to know you are committed to getting a tattoo and we are not wasting time we could be spending on another customer.
We have thousands of designs in the studio for you to choose from, if you have reference bring that into the studio as a guide to what you are looking for. Please note, if you bring a photo of another tattoo it will not be copied as that is someone else’s work but we can use it as a great jumping off point to get you a design that is of a similar theme.
We are open 11am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday. You are always welcome to the studio to have a look at designs etc.
When you have chosen your design you will need a deposit of either £20 or £50 depending on the size of your tattoo. This deposit is non-refundable and will be kept if you do not turn up for your appointment. You will have the chance to change your appointment once with a weeks notice without losing your deposit. This may sound harsh to you but if you do not turn up we do not get paid so we both lose out.
So contact us via email or the studio and bring your ideas no matter how big or small and get yourself a new tattoo. We look forward to seeing you.
